Redeemed by the blood of the lamb

The SS lesson today Nov.17,2020 says that some may say that not all the teaching material in the books of Moses applies in our time and that is correct like the instructions regarding kings in Deuteronomy 17:14-20.
But I strongly believe that all the teaching materials from the Scripture are applicable in our time if we would earnestly seek the LORD and His will. Today we don’t appoint kings but we have presidents or prime ministers who is holding a position equal to the king’s. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thank you.
