1 Peter 3:6 says, “Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.“

I do believe wives should obey their husbands because obey, when translated in hebrew is shema means to hear and respond with appropriate action. But calling their husbands lords, meaning master? And in Genesis 2:20, the term which describes a spouse is help meet.

Few months ago during lockdown I used to stay with an elder relative. But sometimes she would see me praying and would laugh at me. It reminded me of Noah who was being laughed at. After that she said something that I shouldn’t be praying very often as I was doing. I answered her politely by saying that the Bible says pray without ceasing. I no longer live with her though. Should we pray for the world leaders who are making preparations to persecute the Sabbath-keepers?

In a book I am reading, it says this: “your spiritual transformation in developing the character of Jesus will take the rest of your life, and even then, it won’t be completed here on Earth. It will only be finished when you get to heaven or when Jesus returns. At that point, whatever unfinished work on your character is left will be wrapped up.” I would like to know if this is true.
